S-Saver Room Control Systems
The 3S Sensor Saver system represents a new generation of energy-saving technology that employs occupancy sensors.
The system is comprised of several key components:
Occupancy Sensors
Relay and Control Units
Door Switches
The occupancy sensors utilized are Panasonic’s EKMC1601111 PIR sensors, known for their high sensitivity and extensive coverage of the surrounding area.
In a standard installation, an occupancy sensor is positioned on the ceiling of the main room, while another is installed in the bathroom.
There are two design options for the sensors: square and round models.
The round model features a 360-degree rotational capability and accommodates working angles of up to 45 degrees, making it suitable for installation on both ceilings and walls.
Product Information
Controller units are advanced microprocessor-based devices that have been specifically designed for a wide range of precise control applications. These compact and efficient controllers rely on advanced switched-mode power supply (SMPS) units that expertly incorporate relays and control boards. The SMPS units are capable of providing a comprehensive input power range of 80 to 260 VAC while delivering a highly regulated output of 12 VDC at a power rating of 12 Watts. Within these systems, the relays utilized are the Omron G5RL-1A-E-HR type in-rush relays, known for their impressive capacity to handle loads of up to 300A for a brief duration of 250 milliseconds. In-rush relays are meticulously engineered to manage high starting loads, commonly referred to as inrush currents, without facing the risk of contact welding, which ensures reliable operation over time. This characteristic represents a considerable advantage over standard relays, which may become stuck in a closed position due to their inadequacy in handling such high starting loads, potentially leading to issues related to contact welding incidents. The controllers are thoughtfully available in three distinct models, designated as 4, 7, and 10 relay outputs, providing users with multiple options based on their needs. These units can be daisy-chained together to effectively expand the total number of relay outputs. Notably, the 10-output model integrates a 16-Bit Ethernet output, which facilitates seamless online installations for modern applications. The controllers come equipped with both input and output capabilities that can be tailored specifically to meet unique requirements or client specifications. Outputs can be programmed for either 220 VAC configurations or dry contact configurations. In instances of dry contact outputs, these may be set to Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) positions, while inputs can be expertly configured for impulse or master switch applications, offering enhanced flexibility. Additionally, the controllers feature a terminal block that supports bus communication, significantly enhancing system integration and overall functionality across various applications.
